First Car Boot and New Walks Leaflet

  • The Wickham Village Team successfully organised our first car boot sale on Saturday, 22nd April at the Wickham Centre. Vendors and attendees gave positive responses and we anticipate that these events may become more regular events throughout the year in future.Village Team Car Boot
  • We attended the Parish Assembly on Thursday, 11th May, in order to raise the profile of the Village Team. We will also be involved with the St Nicholas Church Fete on Saturday, 10th June at Beverley as we will provide extra volunteers to augment the ‘heavy gang’ which helps to set it up and dismantle it.
  • Robert Goulson, a resident of Wickham, is helping us to put together a leaflet with details of local walks which will comprise around 5 walks of varying lengths. If anyone has a favourite circular walk around Wickham that could be included, or has any photographs from the various footpaths around the area, then we would love to hear from you.  Please Robert hopes to have the leaflet ready by the beginning of the school summer holidays, which start in the third week of July, so please let us know as soon as possible.
  • Anyone interested in joining, or volunteering with the Village Team, is welcome to join us at the next meeting which will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, 14th June in the Skittles Alley at the Kings Head pub in the village square.
  • Thanks to the Kings Head for allowing to use their facilities.
