Local musicians will be taking to the “busking spot” outside the King’s Head to keep your toes tapping all day long. Performers include Tom Millichamp, Pompey Pluckers, Lewis Smith and Reavers Rant ). We will also be welcoming Wickham’s very own adult community choir; Acca-Voce. (Acca-Voce will be performing at 2pm by the bus stop in the Square)
Once again, 5 local chefs will be passing on their secret recipes for you to enjoy on the day and recreate at home. They’ll all use local produce, including some of the The Southern Co-operative’s Local Flavours range, to make sure that their dish truly is a Taste of Wickham. More details of chefs and recipes to follow soon.
NEW FOR 2016!
This year we’ve got some extra entertainment for you. Count Backwards will be putting on 3 magic shows throughout the day – designed to appeal to adults and children alike. Shows will take place in the magic tent (next to the kids activity tent) at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
Once again, Taste of Wickham is providing loads of FREE entertainment and activities for kids. Thanks to Coffin Mew, children can have their faces painted for free. There is also a free bouncy castle and crafty kids will be able to try their hand at making funky glasses and summer pictures with Creation Station Fareham.
After a break last year. Roynon Dance Swanmore is back to perform at Taste of Wickham 2016. Roynon is an exciting and educational dance school, established over 20 years ago, offering classes and workshops in a range of dance styles. We have no idea what to expect from their performance this year so we can’t wait. Head to the bus stop for 12:00 to see it.
